How do I move to Microsoft Office 365?

If I use email on my phone, what do I need to do?

For Houston Methodist email on your phone

  • Install Intune and register device
  • If you already have Epic or MARS mobile, skip to step 2

iPhone or iPad – only works on iOS v8 and higher

Android phone or tablet

Step 1

  • From App Store, download ‘Intune Company Portal’ and open it
  • Tap ‘Comp Portal’ icon, enter your HM email address, then click where it says ‘Password’ (takes you to another screen)
  • Enter your ‘Password’ and tap ‘Sign in’
  • Follow prompts to register your phone or tablet

  • Enter your ‘Password’ and tap ‘Sign in’
  • Follow prompts to register your phone or tablet

 

Step 2

If you already have HM email, review your email settings:

  • iOS v11.0+
    • Tap 'Settings','Accounts & Passwords', 'Exchange', ‘Account’
    • Ensure 1) ‘domain’ is blank and 2) your user name is your HM email address
    • Please allow a few minutes for email to work after any changes made
  • iOS v8 -10.3
    • Tap 'Settings','Mail', 'Exchange', ‘Account’
    • Ensure 1) ‘domain’ is blank and 2) your user name is your HM email address
    • Please allow a few minutes for email to work after any changes made

 

Step 2

If you already have HM email, review your settings (steps could differ depending on version of Android):

  • Tap ‘Settings’, ‘Device’, ‘Applications’, Email, tap your HM email account
  • Ensure 1) ‘domain’ is blank and 2) your user name is your HM email address
  • Please allow a few minutes for email to work after any changes made

Step 3

If you didnt have HM email before:

  • Add a new 'Exchange' or 'Office 365' email account
  • You probably need just your email address and password to set it back up
  • If it doesn’t auto-setup, use 'outlook.office365.com' for server name and email address for user name, leave domain blank

Step 4

Outlook is the recommended email app. To use it, Install from the App store or the Google Play store
